Do I need a separate broker account?
No. It works with the portable MT5/MT4 install you already have. cTrader results import from a report.
Where does the tick data come from?
Genuine broker bid/ask tick history with real variable spread — not 1-minute bars resampled to look like ticks.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes — monthly or annual, cancel whenever from your account page. You keep Pro until the period you've paid for ends, then drop back to Free.
What is the Monte Carlo test for?
It reshuffles your trade sequence thousands of times so you see the realistic range of outcomes, not one lucky run.
What can the Assistant actually do?
It analyses strategies and results, and it can run backtests on your own tick data to answer a question rather than guessing. It works from our measured findings — 2,772 backtests with real commission and swap — and it will tell you when it doesn't have the data instead of inventing a number. It is not a financial adviser: it won't tell you what to buy or predict prices.
Do I need an EA to use this?
No. The Strategy Lab has 44 ready-made strategies you can run straight away on real tick data, with no MetaTrader involved. If you have your own EA, you can still test that too.
What does the AI Strategy Builder actually do?
You describe a trading idea in plain English and it turns it into real, runnable rules. It isn't taken on trust — the rules are checked against the engine and test-run on real tick data before you ever see them, so a strategy that doesn't work is caught rather than handed to you.
Why do you show two different results for one strategy?
The last 30% of history is held back as a hidden exam the strategy is never tuned on. If it makes money overall but loses on that held-back stretch, it was fitted to the past rather than finding a real edge — so we show both numbers side by side and rank by the honest one.
Can I check your numbers myself?
Yes — every strategy exports as Pine Script, so you can run TradingView's own backtest on its own data and compare. Expect the same pattern of trades rather than identical profit, since TradingView fills at the bar close and we fill at the real bid/ask.
