Terms & Conditions
Not financial advice. KB Algo Lab is a backtesting and analysis tool. Backtests, Monte Carlo simulations and AI-generated suggestions describe how a strategy performed on historical data — they are not a prediction, a guarantee, or a recommendation to trade. Past performance, real or simulated, does not guarantee future results. Trading forex/CFDs carries a high risk of loss. You are solely responsible for any trading decisions you make.
1. Who we are
KB Algo Lab ("we", "us") provides desktop software and a companion website that backtests MT5/MT4 Expert Advisors and cTrader cBots against historical price data, and a shared leaderboard where users may voluntarily publish their results. By creating an account, installing the desktop app, or using this website, you agree to these terms.2. Accounts and licence keys
- You need an account to use the desktop app and to publish to the shared leaderboard.
- Your licence key is personal to your account. Don't share it — a key found to be in use by multiple unrelated people may be suspended.
- You're responsible for keeping your password secure and for anything done under your account.
- You must verify the email address you sign up with; unverified accounts may have limited access.
3. Plans and billing
- Free plan: limited to the pairs/timeframes/features shown on the pricing page, at no cost, for as long as you like.
- Pro plan: unlocks unlimited pairs, timeframes, real-tick backtesting and shared-hub publishing, at the price shown on the pricing page at the time you subscribe. Billed by card via Stripe, monthly or annually.
- Elite plan: a one-time lifetime payment that unlocks everything in Pro for as long as your account exists — no renewals, no recurring charge.
- Elite refunds: you can request a full refund within 14 days of purchase, provided you haven't substantially used the Elite-only features in that time (in line with UK Consumer Contracts Regulations for digital services). After 14 days, or once Elite features have been substantially used, the purchase is non-refundable — email us to request a refund within the window.
- You can cancel a Pro subscription at any time from your account page (via the Stripe billing portal) or by emailing us; you keep Pro access until the end of the period you've already paid for, then drop back to Free.
- We may change plan pricing or features going forward, but won't change what you've already paid for retroactively.
4. The shared leaderboard
- Publishing a run to the leaderboard is always your choice — nothing is published automatically unless you turn on auto-publish yourself in the app's Settings.
- When you publish, we share: your trader name, the EA name, pair, timeframe, date range, deposit, and the resulting statistics (profit, drawdown, trades, etc.) and equity curve. We do not publish your .set file's parameter values or contents — only its name/tag.
- Leaderboard results reflect what the software calculated from the data you tested against; we don't independently verify every published result, though the platform (MT5/MT4/cBot) and data-quality tag shown alongside each entry are drawn directly from the run itself, not typed in by hand.
- We may remove entries that are abusive, spam, or clearly not a genuine backtest.
5. Cloud Runner, Optimize, and live account sync (Pro)
- Uploading a compiled EA to the Cloud Runner or Optimize feature is always something you choose to do — nothing is uploaded automatically. You keep full ownership of your EA; we don't inspect, reverse-engineer, reuse, or share your uploaded code with anyone else.
- Uploaded EAs run on our infrastructure one job at a time, with DLL imports disabled. We may reject or remove an upload that appears malicious, abusive, or designed to interfere with the service.
- Server-side jobs are queued behind other users' jobs and may take longer than testing on your own machine, especially at busy times. We don't guarantee a completion time.
- We may delete uploaded EA files after a period of inactivity — just re-upload if you want to test again later.
- The optional live account-sync EA only ever reads your own account's trade history from your own MT5 terminal — it never sends or stores your password or broker login. You can stop it any time by removing the EA from your chart.
